WALK 4 WATER INITIATIVE:
Do You Care About The Earth?
Out of the 50 billion bottles of water being bought each year, 80% end up in a landfill, even though recycling programs exist.
At REED, we care!!! That’s why we’ve started an initiative to purchase and install filtered bottle filling stations at the school.
We need everyone’s help to make this happen.
Please attend the WALK 4 WATER EVENT on February 12th from 1:30-3:30pm on the field at Reed to SHOW YOUR SUPPORT!
Are Your Students Dehydrated After Long School Days?
Experts recommend that students drink 2-3 quarts of water every day. At 2 lbs. per quart that’s a heavy load! Filtered bottle filling stations would allow Reed students, teachers and staff to keep hydrated with healthy and great-tasting water all day long!
Walk 4 Water Event - February 12th 1:30-3:30pm at REED
To show your support for this initiative, please send your students to this event where they’ll walk laps and rally for water. This event is FREE, and does not require students to fundraise!
Students who voluntarily choose to walk will receive one (1) raffle ticket per lap to enter to win prizes at the end of the event on 2/12!
The next step is to encourage all members of the Reed community to set up personal fundraising pages to raise the money to complete this initiative. Students will learn more at the Walk 4 Water event, but can click the button below to get a head start! Prizes for fundraising will be even BIGGER and more AWESOME than the prizes at the event!
Enter Fundraising Competition for WATER
Please consider setting up a personal fundraising page and raising money for this important cause!
Students that enter will be eligible for prizes (1 raffle ticket for each $25 raised, so everyone has a chance!). These prizes are in addition to the prizes being raffled at the live event.
Fundraising is entirely voluntary, and you do not need to fundraise to attend the live event and show your support!
